Betrothal of Praveen and Annette held on 5th April 2008 at St. Mary’s Basilica Church at 12.00 noon. Rev. Fr. Varghese Puthussery, Asst. Parish priest of the Basilica blessed the couple and solemnized the Betrothal. It is a remarkable ceremony including a short prayer, reading from bible and exchange of rings. Mr. P D Joseph (Sunnychan) and Mr. A J Vijayan, uncles of the brides and groom are the official witnesses of the Betrothal along with hundreds of other family and friends. After the ceremony the couples together with family and friends are gathered at Hotel Taj Residency, Kochi. Mrs. Hydie Zibi Jose and Mrs. Prasanna Peter, mothers of the bride and groom welcome the couple to their family with garland. Mr. Zibi Jose, father of the bride received the guests. Mr. Avin and Mr. Prasanth, brothers of the bride and groom shared their memories about the couples. The couples lighted the traditional indian lamp and cut the cake to a new life. The gathering ended with a multi course lunch with desserts.
